Brass Day at Millikin University

Brass Day is a comprehensive, one-day festival for intermediate to advanced brass players in grades 9-12.

Events for participants include breakout masterclasses with Millikin University Brass Faculty, participant Brass Ensemble rehearsals, jazz improvisation workshop, audio recording session at Millitrax Recording Studio, and performances by Millikin Brass Students and Faculty, and the Millikin Faculty Jazz Combo. Students will perform in the closing concert alongside Faculty in the participant Brass Day Brass Ensemble.

Music educators in attendance can receive professional development certificates in Brass Pedagogy, Jazz Improvisation and Audio Recording.

Glenn Wlson Quintet at the Normal Theatre - Blue Note Records: Beyond the Notes

Come to the Normal Theater to watch both the film "Blue Note Records: Beyond the Notes" followed by a performance of Blue Note hits by the Glenn Wilson Quintet.
